Droid Pro vs. BB Torch: both 1 cent, thoughts?

I was a long time BB user (Curve 8330 & Storm2 9550). I got tired of waiting for BB/Research in Motion to get their crap together. After my wife got her Torch, and I saw how atrocious OS6 was, I didn't give it a 2nd thought. Went straight to the VZW store and used my upgrade on a Pro and haven't looked back since.

Now if only the Pro would receive an update or somebody would release some custom ROM's for it :(

I'm intrigued by the BB Bold Touch (Montana) that's rumored to be out in the next couple of months. If it's still running the same blech 6.0 OS, I'll pass. Maybe RIM will surprise everyone and have a new QNX-powered mobile OS on it.

Sometimes I still find myself longing for the clicky feel of physical send and end keys and the trackpad. The keyboard on the Droid Pro is decent for sure, but still nowhere as great as a BB 9650 Bold in my opinion.

Bold Touch will be running 6.1 OS. Some people have been fueling rumors that it's based on the QNX kernel...but I doubt it. Me? Probably the only think Blackberry I may perhaps buy in the near future is the Playbook (mmm...tablet). That being said, I'm gonna wait for reviews first.

Here's my two cents: Blackberry is less buggy than Android from my experience. Apps are more uniform across different BB devices, it syncs better with Exchange, has a few neat utilities and is reliable for someone who works and needs Exchange for whatever they do for a living. If you want a phone that generally doesn't force-close apps, has better battery life and whatever else RIM decides to throw in, you can get a BB. What you would be sacrificing is the ability to do things other than general work things and speed.

Want a phone that has a good battery life if you know how to manage it, can keep you entertained when you're stuck somewhere for hours and have nothing to do, has vastly superior web browsing capability, syncs well with Google services, with all the awesomeness of a responsive and effective touch screen? Go Pro. Only thing is that some apps force close from time to time, you may have to get some extras to get a full day out of your phone battery, and there's no trackpad.

Personally, I like to play with my phones so Pro it is. Also, how else would I be able to play Angry Birds?

Precisely why I'm interested in the Montana when it comes out. My phone is work first, personal second, and flawless messaging (BES) and phone is priority. The Droid Pro does do all of that well and has all that extra stuff I like, but in the end I have a smartphone for work. That's the ONLY reason I would consider a BB again. The current crop of BB's are still messaging kings, but everything else is sub-par compared to Android.
