Droid Razr Maxx HD waiting lounge.

id understand that if there was some epidemic of problems caused by users with a nexus... but I haven't heard any big issues that users have caused with an unlocked boot loader... not on the nexus or d1 etc....

Mm well actually yes, because people tinker too much with roms on their phones and end up bricking them and having to send them back for warranty replacements. So this makes Verizon regret allowing bootloaders being unlocked like with the HTC Rezound. I know on XDA most the devs admit they're on their 2nd or 3rd replacement from deving and this will probably put a bad taste in Verizon's mouth and ruin it for us haha.

that's what I'm getting at... how many are actually bricked because from what I've read online its not many at all.. everyone misuses the word Bricked and that's why you see so many topics for it.. but not many are actually bricked

bricked = your phone is now as useful as a brick

not bricked = everything else lol... boot loops.... charger port lights up... any lights that work... any action what-so-ever is not a brick

my d1 was a brick after 3 days.. without any root or rom stuff.. the thing just died and Verizon didn't have a clue why and replaced it free... that just happens randomly sometimes

I just have a feeling that the note 2 will have some considerable issues when it comes out... I hope I'm wrong, but with all that innovation, there's bound to be some hiccups..

As long as Samsung is willing to fix the issues as quickly as possible, I'm ok with that. HTC drug their feet after I got my Thunderbolt.

Plus when you get a 1.6 quad core with 2gb of Ram and JB based I don't see why I would need an unlocked bootloader.

This. I'm ready for these specs in a phone.

Lmao it is huge, that's my only thing if I get it, after having it u won't wanna go anything smaller in screen size, everything will look like a iPhone haha.

And coming from an iPhone will make it feel like you're talking on a tablet. :p

Im seriously considering it but I want to make sure there are no signal issues first.

I haven't checked, but are GS3s having major problems with reception (voice or data) on VZW?

like i said on another forum, the s3 and note 2 bulk of customers want features out of the box and can care less about rooting and roms.

That's me. The Android devices I've had allowed for a level of customization that is satisfactory to me.

I'll also head over to the N2 section & stop disturbing the RAZR HD section.

I honestly am so sick of waiting for moto to pull their heads out.. this nexus that's floating is probably an maxx HD +.

I'm a huge moto fanboy... but I'm just so sick of the same old thing.. pathetic...

Im afraid... that if I go to the vzw store to play with the razr maxx hd and it is available before my note 2 is out that I could make a big mistake in buying that phone that day. Maybe I should not go into the store at all..:p

I really don't see why to get the RAZR HD. In all the reviews battery life had been fantastic for the N2, it will probably be a little less BC of LTE but still.

The only arguments really are

1. Motorola "radios". Haven't heard anything bad about S3 radios though.

2. Want smaller screen
