I followed the instrutions, but the battery image never showed up, it just went back to the fastboot screen. I am going to keep trying, I hope that the Verizon store can help.

I'm hoping anyone can offer help.

I'm trying to get back to 181 from the 75 leak using Matt's 1.6. Each time, I can't get any further than this. The phone will sit at "writing system" for 45 minutes if I allow it to. I've also tried 1.4, and got stuck on different errors. Any suggestions with how I can get past it? Thanks in advance.

I was stuck on the same spot, not moving at all, freakin out...lol. I was doing it on windows xp older computer so decided to try on newer computer windows 7 and used the original razr usb and it worked, it went thru...with that said be patient your computer is just slow and its gonna take a while, like that commercial says (Set it and Forget IIIIIIITTTTT!!!).

I thought that as well, but I'm doing this on an i7 with 16GB RAM. Strangely enough, I tried on my wife's much older laptop, and got a little farther, but the laptop seemed to kind of freeze later in the steps. Now I have a low bat and hope that the white light means it's at least trickle charging.

Unrooting with 1.7

I apologize if I am just being a n00b here, but, I can't seem to find an "Unroot" option on the new utility. I have 1.7. I am on stock OTA ICS on my Moto RAZR MAXX. Can someone help me out? Thanks.

Just to up date for anyone reading this thread later, I went to Verizon and played the dumb person that screwed up a update. I didn't plan it that way but they feed it and bought it. Thanks to insurance a new Droid Razr is coming to my door tomorrow. I am going to keep trying to get my phone back up, just to see if i can fix it and make sure my stuff is still ok. If i do get it to do anything I will post here. Thanks for the effort Leftspin.

heres my question i have the razr maxx running gb stock rom rooted with roenberg. verizon released the ics update and when i try to install i get the triangle with ! i tried the unroot and it unrooted but im still not able to install the ics update. also when root checker checks for root and says not rooted i still have su icon. not sure if this is even possible yet. just got tired of people saying how the couldnt find a link for the utility so i havent read through all 19 pages of this thread. any help would be appreciated and i am a noob at this so put it in easy terms for me. hope i gave enough info if not let me know thanks again

The download link is on Page one, good instrutions on page 12, reply 114. What ever you do make sure your phone is fully charged. I have bricked my phone because of low battery and trying to find a cure have found a lot of people with same problem. Yes 19 pages is alot, I still wound look over them first. Hope that helped.

I'm attempting to download the file listed on Post #1, but am not having much luck. Downloading from the 1st or 3rd sites, timeouts after 20-minutes or so of downloading and the 2nd site is no longer a valid link (file missing). I beleive the file is a bit larger that 1-gig. Any suggestions of how I can get this file? All I'm looking to do right this minute is root my Maxx, install Titanium Backup and have the ability to un-root my phone.

I downloaed the first utility on the list saved it to my desktop, The download took only a minute or two, should be quick. After download is done unzip open folder and select middle file.

I'm not sure we're talking about the same downloaded. On Post #1 of this thread, I'm attempting to download this.

It gets to download about 18-mb of the approximate 1.0-gb file and eventually times out. The 3rd location for download does a similar thing and the 2nd location does not contain the download.

INFOPreflash validation failure

Getting a "INFOPreflash validation failure" error when trying to install the stock rom.
Then the phone won't get past the motorola logo.
I am able to bring up the AP Flashboot menu.

Any assistance would be appreciated. I was running the ICS Leaked Release.
