Droid running slow and playing fast

My Motorola Droid has been running a bit slow taking about 15 sec to bring up apps i pick and now is starting to play my music and ring tones in hyperspeed.
Anyone have a fix for this or experience similar things?

exactly. Like alvin and the chipmunks are saying DDDRRRRROOOOOOIIIIDDD.
It even happens when i have slacker playing
