Droid X camera issues explained?

How do you verify that the Droid X has the .516 update on it? If it has the old software on it how do you update it?

I'd like to know this as well. Good thought ^

The pictures look pretty good for a phone (in RE: picasa album).

Would I trade my Nikon D90 in for it? No.

Would I use it day to day to snap a funny picture of a friend or a nice sunset? The quality seems to be just fine for those kind of moments.

LOL! I must admit Canon's are nice cameras, but I love my my D90. To each his own I guess.

My X shows .604 there, not .516.

There's an OTA update out of the box. Wonder if that's addressing this issue.

Here are some pretty decent pics with no haze to them at all. More proof that this isn't an inherent problem. Hope my X performs like this:

How to get the firmware for the updated camera?

If you want examples of the pics from the Droid X all of the pictures on my blog are from the Droid X. I think it does a great job.
