Droid X Gets its Gingerbread OTA; Available Now

i find this hillarious because i just rooted and installed the leaked version of gb on my dads phone after he swore he'd never root or install leaked software XD litterally 2-3 days ago

Not exactly like a new device..but very nice Update..things just seem to render quicker, and apps load much faster..like the graphics, and sleep feature.

Seems a little faster. Mainly just the way things look and how keys react, etc.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why is everybody getting a chubby for this update?

For the Droid X, a much better version of Blur.

Manually pulled update @1:15am today. Look is awesome! Running smooth. But had to do factory reset to access email & facebook accounts.

Mine failed after download and reboot. I showed a triangle with exclamation point after going through about 1/4 of the way. No reason why?

Not successfully, and I use OneClick to do it...

Which sbf did you use? I ran into an issue with an old 2.2 sbf I had that softbricked my phone.. I had to search for a different one. Anyways I know using z4 on a galaxy tablet makes the updates fail..which happened to me and I had to get a different set of files to revert to stock. Im not sure if the same applies to the x.

Most likely I rooted 2 weeks ago with z4root then found out the ota was coming reset everything back default setting (cpu) made no other changes all stock! Then unrooted! And then a factory reset! And ota still wont install! And for some reason since I unrooted using z4 every reboot goes into clockworkmod recovery!

It worked great on our Unrooted X .. it is faster, and the battery lasts longer, It is amazing how much it looks like my Droid X2 though. Now if I can just get get GB on it.

Guys since I don't have phone service on mine. I ran the update since my phone is connected to my wifi router. Why does it say it say Your system is currently up to date? Is there a over the air sbf or update.zip? When I get my phone flash to cricket would it download ota and will it break the flash?
