Hey um I was about to update my droid x to the gingerbread firmware but I had a low battery and it cut off in the middle of it and I tried to reboot it but im stuck in bootloop. I held down the power and home key, once the triangle came I pressed the two volume button and wiped the data and hit reboot after that but its still not working. What do I do?

how far was it in to the process of flashing? do you have a method of charging the battery?

It was probally 30 seconds after I pressed install with the camera button and yes I can charge it with my usb cable through the wall or my cpu

ok let the battery charge for a while without doing anything. you're probably going to have to sbf and you want a full battery for that.

ok I have no clue about sbf, so may you please provide me a link on how to do that or could you provide instructions on how to do it.

i can do both. look through the 5th link in my signature. it has a great tutorial. it's a daunting task your first time but it's really not all that difficult. i have walked several people through it already today and everybody did fine. after you read through that link i can answer any questions you have (hopefully)

Ok im going to let my phone fully charge and then try to see if it works. Thank you for your help

I didn't know the X COULD charge like that. My bad. :)

Still, for emergency purposes, knowing how to do that is a Good Thing. :)

normally i would agree but this is the second person i have talked to in the last few days who was able to charge their phone in such a pinch. weird huh?

Ok I did the sbf thing and it worked. Thank you very very much for the help. If you can, could you provide me any tips so this wont happen again.

my best advice is be charged to 100% before doing anything with regards to modding. random things happen all the time but a little bit of preparedness will go a long way.

glad you got all set up.
