Droid X won't connect to PC, keeps saying "preparing SD card"

I recently owned the original Droid and never had this problem. Whenever I connect the Droid X to PC via USB cable, I go through all the necessary prompts yet it keep saying "preparing SD card" on the phone over and over and over until I disconnect and it never appears as a storage device under My Computer on my PC. Please help.

OK, just hooked it up to a different laptop and it worked fine so it definitely has to do with my computer. I guess the drivers from the old droid are still on here and that's the problem? Anyone know a remedy?

Ok, now it seems to pick up when I do Windows Media Sync. Still wondering why it won't pick up USB though.
