Droid2 battery consumption problem

I just upgraded from the Droid to Droid 2 Global yesterday. The new phone seems to drain the battery pretty fast. The battery is down to 90% after about 10 minutes of inactive after unplugging from the charger. Anyone else observes this problem?

The only tip I have for the D2G is:

D2G - go in to settings, wireless and networks, mobile network and change the network type from global to CDMA only. The d2g is locked out from using the local GSM networks in the US. You don't need global radio turned on in the US just overseas.

And then there's this that I think applies to the D2G:

Go to settings/wireless & networks/mobile networks/Enable always-on data. Uncheck always on data. Your phone will still receive email, text, & phone calls as before as well as internet usage but your battery will last a lot longer.

100-90 is always the fastest drop, something about the it not being good for the battery to be near full.
