[DROID2] Liberty ROM - v 2.0

If you were using a theme on 2.0.1 then it is most likely that the issue is with the themes. I'm on 2.0.1 using Epic Blue with no problem. No camera issues. No G-mail issues. No force closes or anything. Maybe it's just certain compatibility issues with the themes and the themes' framework-res may not be suitable for 2.0.1.

Also have Droid 2 running 2.0.1 tried both the blur camera and the other camera that. Liberty installs with and no issues. Using the black gingerbread theme

Hmmm, why don't you try this...

-Hit Menu softkey
-Click on Settings
-Click on Applications
-Click on Manage applications
-Click on All tab
-Scroll down to Camera
-Click on Clear Data

See if that changes anything. If not, then reboot and see if the reboot helps change it after Clearing Data.

Geeze bro don't you sleep lol once again thanks for all your help!
Sence I restored back to 2.0 to fix the camera all I had to do was reinstall 2.01 and now all is working a treat.
Thanks for your quick response and helpfull knowledge again!

May be a stupid question but what are the differences between 2.0 and 2.0.1? Gotta wipe data and cache before install 2.0.1 right? Just wanna make sure I am reading things right, not much sleep lately and my eyes are playing tricks on me.

if you're running 2.0, you can install 2.01 over the top, it fixes some bugs, along with the FC for liberty settings (ala the patch that was put out for it a few days ago).

2.0 was the beta version, the 2.0.1 was suppose to be the final release but with all these issues, we will most likely see a different final release. Or just another patch to fix some problems. I always wipe data and cache when flashing a new ROM. I've heard of some people just flashing newly updated ones over ontop of the existing one. I've never personally done that because I have assumptions and belief that flashing on top of an existing ROM may cause instability or some kind of issue. Its just the safer way, in my opinion, of doing it by just wiping data and cache and flash the new ROM.

Haha. Glad it worked. I'm a late night person. I've got too much time on my hands at the moment due to being recently laid off my job for a few weeks. Sucks. But I'm getting stuff done on my free time! Thinking about going ahead and getting enrolled at Penn Tech to finish up my computer programming and network technician. Possibly may be indulging in a course for software engineering or other courses.

hello i have been trying to get swype to work for about a hour and it still will not work any reasons why? i have droid 2 liberty2.0

Thanks for the info, will probably wait a few more days then to flash 2.0.1. I'm with you I think it would cause issues if it was just installed over top of another rom.

The swype in 2.0 is for the DX. Grab the stock or themed one from the theme thread (post 4) for the D2/D2G version of my EpicBlue theme. Make sure to follow the install instructions.

Wow....I've come across the biggest pain in the neck ever!! Finally, after getting repeated issues of the build prop fix causing my camera to not respond, I decided to reflash liberty one last time and not flash the build prop, but my battery died! So now its in a boot loop and the battery is too low to sbf and wont charge! Lucky for me I have an old droid but the charge port has a short so Im having to hold the charger in place so I can swap out my battery and sbf, then redo everything. :/

Well if it makes you feel anybetter my computer just died. I'm using my wife's old computer for the moment. At least its still under warranty. However it was a replacement for my other laptop that also had its screen go bad.
Anyways I'm relly digging this new Rom. However I still think that flashing windows Mobile roms was easier.
I had a trouble with my keyboard back light not working. After several resets it appears to be working now.
However I've had about three freezes that required a battery pull so far. It hasn't even been 12 hours yet.
I'm considering reflashing and if issues still come up I'm going to try GB. However all my stuff is in my laptop thats not working.

I'm back on Liberty 2.0.1 from odexed GB. I have yet to encounter a problem. I finally got the phone all set up similar to the way I had 1.5, but I always had reboot issues on 1.5...so I'm keeping my fingers crossed right now. Stellar job so far, jrummy16! dancedroid

Has anyone tried the 1.5 themes on 2.0.1 yet? Sorry if that's already been covered in another thread...

OK I download L2 for me D2 using the first D2 link and went to install and it said it failed due to a bad file (or something along those lines).

I follow the instructions to a tee.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what I might try?

Thanks,
