If you are taking suggestions at this point, I would also like to see a streaming "new posts" spot. As a mod, I really spam that feature on the site, but it would also help to get questions answered quickly.. Thanks!

Agreed! That would be awesome.

I am not much of a programmer but I have some experience with lots of private betas of internet websites etc. and have a goo feel for how users interact with things and what works and what doesn't. I would love to help too if you need help organizing and planning ideas. I am a very good orginizer.

Quick update for everyone....

I have managed to get a small "hello world" app working so far. As I said, new to android developing. It appears adding an rss feed to an app is pretty simple.

In discussions with Johndroid we are going to start with the app to stream the rss feed and expand from there. I will leave it to him to pick beta testers.

If the other people interested in design/output/developing could IM me or PM me that would be great. Then we can start sharing code and ideas.

I've yet to try and access the forum on here from the phone but some form of app would be pretty incredible. We can do so much with the Droid and appreciate the operating system so a place like this is necessary to communicate when necessary.

You realize that with the Droid's release Android is now a superpower to be reckon with. It is no longer just a 1 world show. We are just the beginning and we are soon to grow.

Just a quick update for people....

I am hoping to have an internal build ready for very limited testing this weekend. If that goes well and it gets the go ahead from the higher-ups....look out for a semi-public beta not far after!

Would still like some others to get onboard with developing.

We need a DroidForums app...the community is too strong to ignore.

Developers..work your magick. Unfortunately the days of me using Visual Basic to make AOL progz like punters, tos'ers, scrollers, etc... is over. Now we look to you guys...

LOL oh man, I remember those days. Stealing peoples logins so I could get free aol at home back in 93. My parents getting man because all they ever heard was baud noise when they picked up the phone.

Yes, I am excited about the forum app. Having a nice app for the forum will be great. Hopefully we can collectively come up with something that everyone is happy with.

Erron, I'd be happy to help out either in testing or developing. Although I'm not particularly familiar with the SDK, im sure I could figure it out quickly. Plus I'm a longtime tester for multiple platforms, so let me know. BugTraq anyone? :p
