dropped my phone in the toilet...

then grabbed it immediately and turned it off and removed the battery/sd card

turned it on the next morning (dumb) and it worked fine except some screen defects at certain angles (no big deal). After a while it flickered then turned off so I pulled the battery again and havent touched it.

The markers are red on the battery AND phone.

What if it's destroyed? Will my insurance cover it? What can I do?. Am I screwed?

Ugh

Insurance I believe will cover it but verizons warranty will not. You will have to pay whatever deductible you have with your insurance company.

If the phone does not work take the high road and tell the insurance company what happend. Hopefully, they will accept the copay and send you a replacement.

Depending on what insurance you bought I think some (most? all?) cover all damages, except for theft.

So it worked for a while and now the screen is black. I can answer calls because I know where to slide my finger but I can't see anything :(

everytime I read threads titled this, I always think from that point on, whenever the person posts

"this dude/chick has stuck their hand in a place where I drop dueces"

Because to me grabbing a phone that fell into a "clean" toilet (one that did not have urine or **** in it) is more worth it than spending $90.....

I mean I know what you're saying but really?

anyways, they're sending me a new droid that will be here on tuesday. sucks I flushed $90 down the toilet (pretty much literally...) but at least im getting a new phone soon.

Man thats a sh**ty situation. :icon_ banana: Just use insurance. I once ripped my screen of my phone and they said send us both pieces.

Will my insurance cover it?
If you're using Asurion you can read the details on their insurance online. I'm sure it's the same for many other insurers as well.

While I agree, you should read up on studies that investigate the cleanliness of toilets versus other things. You'll be very surprised. I've seen toilets test cleaner than kitchen sinks, the human mouth, ice machines at restaurants...

I'll be happy living in ignorance to it all and work on completing my life without ever having stuck my hand in that place, much less then try to stick something I retrieved out if it by my mouth
