Dummy Plug For Droid Headphone Jack!

Solution in search of a problem. Can anyone honestly say they have had the problem this thing is trying to solve? I have had many devices and never has there been a problem with that little hole filling up with stuff!

YES.

on my iPod Touch I kept it in my pocket all the time, well a couple weeks back I tried to plug in my head phones and they WOULD NOT go in all the way WTF I was thinking why not, turns out some lint from my pocket some how some way got in there and prevented my headphone jack from going all the way in. it was PITA to get that lint out....

My plug just arrived from Hong Kong. I paid for it on December 27th, not too bad of a wait for shipping.

I plugged it into the headphone jack and it fits just fine. Nice and snug. It's not going to fall out. It has the same matte finish as the side of the phone, the plug is rubber.

There is a slight angle on the top of the plug, so it is a hair thicker on one side than the other. It is barely noticeable, and actually makes it easy to pop out since you have a slightly thicker edge to grab with your fingernail to remove it. For $1, I am not going to complain. I think it looks great.

I highly recommend it to everyone.

Hmmm... This might explain why I haven't got mine yet (paid on Dec. 29th) I emailed them yesterday, no response yet.

I paid for mine eight days ago now, and I have yet to receive and email saying that the plug was shipped.

I got an email about mine through ebay... They said it was shipped on 01/05/10 and will take 2 to 3 weeks. 5 days till I blow them up and give bad rep.

Not necessarily. This probably isn't the case with the Droid but the iPhone/iPod moisture indicator is at the base of the headphone jack (i.e. you have to look into the jack to see it). Covering the jack would reduce the chances of tripping the indicator.

There's a distinct difference between anecdotal experience and fact, despite what many forum users appear to think.
