EAB

Just got my first android phone. What is the EAB application that keeps stopping? Doesn't seem to have any affect on using the phone.

I've never heard of that process so it must be an app. Look through Settings, Applications, All and see if you can identify an EAB app.

I'm not sure exactly what it does on the Ultra Maxx & Mini, but it has something to do with Contacts. I have read somewhere that rebooting the phone sometimes fixes that message. I have the same app on my Maxx:

EAB is Enhanced Address Book:

Google
Good deal Ollie....I was just searching and coming up with non-android stuff. Makes sense...that was added with the recent VoLTE update that the Maxx / Ultra and Mini received.

So Volte is from one Volte user to another only? If so then it would make sense to need some way in the address book to differentiate.

That makes perfect sense. The Video Conference icon was added to the Contact screen for other users that have a VoLTE phone also....that must be it.

For @fishcad, if you are no t using VoLTE much, you could try selecting the Clear Data button on the app screen (Settings > Apps > All Apps > open EAB) and then reboot. First....make sure your current Contacts are either synced to your Google account or backed up somewhere....just in case.
