email problems

So you found a way to get multiple POP3 addresses into the droid and a way to respond to the email using the POP3 email address and not a gmail account? If this is the case, my BB may be a paper weight real soon. I realize you can't get the email to push to you immediately (I hear BB has the market cornered on this), so how fast can you get the email on your phone?

This has been possible on the droid since last year. You can get push email if your mail server uses IMAP. BB can't turn a POP3 account into a push account so, too be frank, you are misinformed about BB's capabilities. You can set k9 to poll a pop account every 60 seconds. This is effectively the same as push and probably on par with BB's capabilities.

email loading

I am also having the problem that I seem to have to turn the DRIOD off and back on to retreive emails (comcast.net IP).

If I don't do that I will get an endless "loading messages" notification but no emails.

Is this familiar to anyone?
