Embedded Flash Videos not working

Hi folks - I joined this forum specifically due to this issue. One of the main plusses of the Maxx was that I could watch some streaming vids off Amazon Prime instant streaming. Now - no videos for my 1+ hour commute. Sorry I can't contribute to the solution, but just wanted to vent a little. By the way, ICS update also killed my speedtest app too. Related maybe? hmmm

Speedtest app works fine on my rooted Razr Maxx running ICS 4.0.4 .214 :)

I've noticed embedded YouTube videos that wouldn't play, when the update first came out, will now take you to YouTube to play the video.

Do i have this right: videos don't play now because ics uses html 5 for playback standard as opposed to the old flash standard still used on gb? If so I'd imagine those Web sites and browsers currently unable to do so are working feverishly to add it. If so, I'll wait patiently, if not, i just bought myself a long walk home. :( espn no longer works, tv.com no longer works, and a few others. Good thing i hung on to my old DX: still works with wifi.

Bump-r  well I'm back on GB and got all my espn and the like back. Had I'd know flash was no longer supporting anything above 4.0.x I would not have upgraded until that portion of it was ironed out. It's like upgrading from a two story house to a one, but now you got to wait for them to build back the second floor. :p

and yes, I am up in arms about this DancingNexus: problem is there is only (1) iphone and tons of droid smart phones...

I am kinda irrated about it too.

Its like no FM Radio on phones. I really miss it on my Droid X1, almost got a Bionic just because of the FM Radio. At the end of the day....for me...its more pros to stay on ICS than to go back to GB. ICS hasnt been causing me any major problems. No reception or battery issues. And look at JB....I dont think its working on there at all for any phone. At some point one is gonna have to jump in if you want the newer OS versions.

Hoping like mad that HTML 5 is adopted quicker by more websites.

tv.com works for me. It didn't at first but it does now. There was a flash update but I'm not sure if that is why it's working now.

Flash is supposed to be supported in ICS on the Rezound (according to Adobe). That's why I switched to that phone. It's a shame because I really like the Razr Maxx. But flash sites are important to me. I am still on GB with the Rezound. I am going to wait to see if there is any grumbling before I take the upgrade this time.

Yea, me too! I'm gonna stay on my GB on my Bionic till Flash is Supported, or my video sites upgrade to HTML5!!!
We all can't wait till the next best OS comes along to make our phones better, but if the "ICS" upgrade can't support Flash, then 4.0 can just pi$$ off!!!
In "MY" opinion, that's just a step backwards for what my wants and needs are on a smartphone!
Last week i played with my friends Razr, and was not even "Remotely" Impressed with it!!!
I don't understand what the big "huhaha" is now that I checked it out? Is it just because its a little different?
If you download ICS, and take away Flash, just to be able to do... what? ... do screen shots?...... NEVER!!!
I know it has a couple more quirks, but I thought ICS was supposed to be Gods next gift to the Android!
I am seriously disappointed, and deeply depressed!!! I was waiting for a FireCracker, and all I see is a Wet Fuse!
If you know what I mean!

Edit: There are Millions of "Flash" Phones and a Billion "Flash" Computers!!!
So what is the incentive for these sites to upgrade their systems right now to support HTML???
Just cause the "Razr" and the "Nexus" Can't support it???
The Iphone never had Flash and I don't see anything happening with that either???
Its NOT like when the Gov'nmt flipped the switch on TV's from Analog to Digital!
I think Its going to be a long time coming till HTML is fully integrated into our lives!

New to smart phones, but how did you go back to GB?

Razr MAXX

I was able to replace my new maxx after 13 days of ownership because of sound problems to a new one. My first one was OTA 4.0.4 after the fifth day. This one is going to stay GB for as long as possible. Didn't mean to imply I was able to revert back to GB.

I never did get flash to stream movies on my razr maxx, but it's working great on my nexus 7. Yep, jelly bean. Go figure. Amazon is streaming great. I followed the steps at the link below. Don't know if it will help other ICS razrs. I saw a number of posts that claimed success with procedures that never worked for me, so who knows. As always, proceed with caution - results may vary

Just tried this without success. Flash video loads and acts like it's working then just hangs with no video. *sigh* oh well, guess I'll have to wait for my fav flash site to upgrade to HTML 5.

I have also tried without success... Have we lost video playing in a browser forever.

What can I do to get it back???

I wish I knew. I'm just going to keep reading & hoping someone smarter than me figures it out
