Enable your Droid X full HDMI capabilities

Haha, inexpensive would be the better term than cheap. Many people posted links to good deals. The stock VW cable is over priced like all retail HDMI cable is.
Thanks for the link, what a great price from mono wonder if the quality is as good as VZW cable might wait 3 days if I had too.dancedroid

I bought the monoprice one. Works just fine. Recommend getting a little longer one though. I regret getting the short one. Believe they have a 10' version too.

i purchased this app last night, plugged my hdmi into my tv and phone, but the connection kept closing. is it my wire? its a new one that i brought with the recommendation from people on here. so when i click on Real HDMI, i press detect, and it gets detected, but then it shuts down and my phone goes into a scrabled state and i have to do a battery pull to get it working again.

how well does this work with NFL network (NFL mobile app) ??

I'm wondering about this as well... I just ordered an HDMI cable and I'm going to pay for the DirecTV mobile with my Sunday ticket and am wondering if I'll be able to play this on my TV with the HDMI cable.

Tried to download this app and it still says "Do Not Download" due to bugs... any news on this?

I searched for this app and it will not show in the market. Any help would be appreciated.

wierd, the other day i typed in HDMI and found it. i did it just now, and it didnt come up. Maybe its being updated.

Hmmm

I'm running Froyo 2.2, and just bought the hdmi cable from a Verizon kiosk in the mall and have tried the gallery output on 2 separate screens sand neither showed anything. I also cannot find Real HDMI in the marketplace... I'm being patient...

I just noticed the hdmi symbol in the top left of my videos when I am in my Gallery. Pressed that and got video on my tv and and onscreen remote. Looks and sounds awesome. Only other app I have that lets me do this is The Streaming Free Porn App. Nesoid doesn't output and neither does Youtube. Being patient is hard. Come on app builders, lets get some updates!
.P.S: The Wii remote app works great to control my phone remotely but doesn't work when the HDMI app remote is onscreen.

Froyo killed the HDMI output from the Droid X. When I hook up the cable, I can view my pics but when I try to end the app, the phone freezes and I gotta do a battery pull. This messed up RealHDMI too, so Gman pulled the app from the market till Moto makes a bug fix.

Same thing I was experiencing

I got my cable last night and played with it a bit this morning... works fine in gallery for me playing videos, but that's the only app I see that will do it.

I hope he gets Real HDMI fixed for 2.2.

Going to have to wait for motorola to release fix for the lcd dispay driver in the phone. "hdmi bug" is actually caused by fact phone tries to put lcd dispay to sleep after a certain amount of time atter hdmi output has been on. And about 1 out of 10 times display driver refuses to exit sleep mode. For some folks almost 100% crash when using gallery to view a photo, enabling hdmi output via the icon in corner of gallery. After that its impossible to switch back to lcd screen and phone requires a battery pull. Video player seems to crash less but think that since cpu is very busy displaying video that the sleep modes doesn't come on so lcd display doesn't go to sleep.

i watched some stuff via hdmi from my droid x these past few days and didnt run into any issues. No freezes, no resets, nothing. Just started it up and my shows played fine. im on 2.2 as well.
