Ugh so not fair lol There's way more iPhones available in countries that the Droid/Milestone didn't launch in .

But I do admit we're doing pretty well for a phone that just came out 3 months ago on an OS that's about 15 months old!!

what the heck happened? Droid took over #1 spot for smart phone of the year on saturday night and the next day it was way behind again. Engadget must have found a few thousand votes for the iphone laying around that they forgot to count.

Yah I suspect foul play, it was seriously 1am sat night when I last checked and we were down by just under 200 for gadget and up by 400 for smartphone and at 8am sun iphone had pulled in another 2000 votes.

This is true. Same thing for Game Console of the Year. PS3 was way ahead, now 360 is winning. I hate that these polls (just like GameFAQs character battles lol) are nothing more than popularity contests. We all know that Droid > iPhone 3GS. Everyone also knows that PS3 had a much better year than 360, and is the all-around better console.

In short, these polls are dumb and mean nothing.

Winning by a good margin in smartphone and GPS categories. It's pretty much all but won the GPS category... closest is the iPhone GPS app, and that's a mile behind. Smartphone is a few hundred votes difference. And then the Droid is still losing gadget of the year.

Completely unrelated, but I'm surprised at how the Zune HD is blowing away the iPod Touch by over 600 votes. Wow. I have a Zune HD myself, and I absolutely love it. But I can't believe it's winning by over 600 votes. That's amazing... :icon_eek:

i have a zune hd too but i dont like it =[ i would rather get an ipod touch...sorry guys
