Error Message trying to flash SP recovery.

I'm following Christim's guide on how to root with stock 2.1 software. Having problems pretty much right off the bat. I'll tell you what I've done so far.

I have version 4.6 of RSD lite.
I'm running windows vista 32 bit (I downloaded and installed the 32 bit version)
My phone is detected in RSD lite.
RSD lite is being ran as Admin.

When I select the .spf file and hit start it has an immediate failure message. It says something like "Flash Failed" no error codes or anything just, "Error".

Any ideas as to what the problem seems to be?

Oh and I've already tried putting the .spf file in the root of the C drive.

Fixed it, figured I'd reply back in case anyone with a similar problem can solve their issue.

I ended up using a different computer, one with XP. Worked flawlessly and currently rooted.
