Explain vsel please

I have been tinkering with over clocking my droid x and was curious as to what exactly vsel is and what are the pros and cons of raising and lowering the value?

If this helps kinda an assumption here but seems correct. The vsel is pretty much the voltage your either adding or lowering. For pros or cons. Pros, higher vsel plus overclock will make it run faster then what your highest value but still staying in that value. Cons of a higher vsel possible battery damage less battery life. Lowering vsel is generally opposite of a higher vsel. High clock low vsel slower speed but still at the same value. Low vsel better battery life battery cons I don't think any possible damage can happen. But there's my answer hope it makes sense
