Extended battery working?? Help!

I just got my extended battery for my droid 2 today and doesn't seem to help so much. Does it take a full days use and drain for it to start to work? Everyone says they get like 17 hours or more with music playing and heavy use. Im at 70% and sent a few texts today. Please give me feedback!!

Definitely let it break in. I suggest letting it discharge fully and then recharging to 100%. Or if you are rooted, you can wipe the battery stats and do it which is better.

It's not really necessary to condition a battery, you're better off charging it for MUCH longer than usual. By much longer, I mean several hours (3+). An overnight charge works best, just remember to wipe battery stats before you unplug the phone. Otherwise, don't pay too much mind to the battery icon, it can be inaccurate.

An easy way to drain the battery is to hold the volume rocker down so it is constantly vibrating. If you get tired of holding it you can tape it. Lol

you could always try using a battery calibration app, you may have to be rooted im not sure

Im on my 2nd day for new new battey and I've only had it on for 1 hr and 4 mins and just been texting someone and its already at 80%...does it take a few cycles for it to break in? Im not happy. Please help.
