Extended battery

Those big batteries are external, correct? I have seen externals that big on eBay before.

It would be interesting to see how the Bionic circuitry works with the 3rd party extended battery. On my OG Droid I had the Seidio extended battery and it was hard on an unrooted phone to get an accurate reading. The stock battery indicator said the phone was dead long before it actually was. I ended up using the Battery Left widget, but had the setting for mv and not percentage. I knew that 4200mv was full and 3500mv was "time to charge." The Verizon extended battery seems to work well in terms of giving an accurate reading.

See that's the kind of thing I'm worried about, many other chargers are not enough to properly charge the bionic as it is. If the battery isn't correct, what kind of problems could we have then? Some of these 4200mah batteries on bay look really well made including the cover that comes with them, so I was curious if anyone had taken the opportunity to give it a shot. and yes the VZW battery is very expensive lol. Supposedly it is easier to calibrate the bionic to different batteries though, as it has a learning curve. I know though (talking about 3rd party) the store reps told me I could use my D1 charger for the bionic... it would NOT charge on it, it just barely maintained charge.

Get what you can, there isn't an extended (Official) Bionic battery to be had anywhere in the country. Warehouse is even empty.

There is now. VZW online has them. I called Saturday. They were out EVERYWHERE! Looked online and called last night and they were in stock. Tell them you are having data issues see if they will knock off some of the cost.

No problem. How long on LTE do you get from your Extended battery? For those in CDMA / 3G only. What is your battery life with the Extended battery. OEM. Thanks

replacing... wait seriously, don't tell me moto and VZw are having issues with their batteries now too!?

and these replacement 4000MAH batteries are about $20 w/ a cover as well...

I'm in a solid 4G area and I get no less than 24 hours of what is heavy use for me.
Typically it can run for 33-36 hours on a single charge even though I do charge it every night.. it's just nice to know that if I were away from power there would be some reserve.

The times I've had to manually switch to 3G (when I know I'm going to be working in a basement for an extended period) the battery life has been excellent. I'd say it increases by nearly 100% when switched to 3G only

About a days useage. At first you don't seem to notice much of a difference, but after you go back to the old battery, you find yourself missing the extended battery, if that makes sense.

Well last Saturday it suddendly 'didn't recognize' the battery. Prompted me to insert a Motorola Battery or something to that effect, and was a '?' where the battery icon was... so, yep, replacing.
