Fabio does it again!! +*~+*--Folderorganizer+*~+*~+*~ Need more beta testers Please!

OK Got to play with this for a bit...
It imported my bookmarks from the stock browser NOT Dolphin HD which I use mainly. There needs to be an option as to which application you want info imported from and which application you want to use for the action you choose.

Example...
If you use a different browser or messaging app that you have set as default that is the app your info (bookmarks, contacts, etc.) should import from and the app that gets selected to open.

Another nice feature would be a "Recent Contacts" category so you can call back the most recent caller or contact not just the "Most Contacted"

The interface is nice but there need to be more options as far as what you want /need the app to do.

If I am missing something please explain... I can be a bit stupid at times.

Some Friendly Feedback

I have to agree with tParker,
I usually can go a day and a half before charging my stock battery. by 3 in the afternoon, i was down to 30% charge, I tried to kill it with TasKiller, and even though it would say it killed it, it started up again. I had to uninstall. I'm writing this now @ 9pm and I'm at 20% charge. HUUGE difference w/o app running.

Also, another observation: I'm running Simply Stunning 4.4 blue theme. The notification in the window shade, had black text, the app theme is dark over all, so it made it very difficult to see the notification in the drop down menu.
I dont think I saw an option to change the text color anywhere. I might suggest you either have an option to change the color, or just set it to the default system color, in which case it would show up white.

Hope i didn't ramble too much.

I think I'm gonna stay uninstalled till i have a day off from work so i can play with it some more, while i'm near my charger.

I'll post updates when i have'em.

Ok thanks guys! I'm going pass this on to Fabio and hopefully he can figure out what's causing the battery drain.

Something strange this morning...
I notice in my notification bar that Photobucket has uploaded 126 photos to my default album.
I check my album on the laptop and find all of the .png files for the icons in Folderorganizer have been uploaded???

Uninstalling this until it's ready for prime time.

UPDATE...
Checked my Gallery and there were 111 photos in the gallery attributed to Folderorganizer.

After uninstalling the Folder Organizer app Thursday night...my Battery Consumption is back to normal
Hi, I am fabio, the developer of folderorganizer, I have some question about the battery issue you report. Have you already used folderorganizer with no Widgets? Can you try to install the android market version? Can you try to hide the toolbar notification icon? There is an option in preferences to do it.
Many thanks for your help
Fabio

I have app organizer, why is this that much difference. App organizer works nice and this looks just like it, except a couple more options.

Hi, I have released version 2.4 (lite and full) in Android Market. Since beta version posted on this forum I fixed:
  • new option to show white text in notification bar
  • fixed issue with Photobucket, FolderOrganizer caches some icons on sdcard. These files are now private and are visible only to FolderOrganizer
  • performance improvement, let me know if you still see battery issues
Many thanks for your beta testing!
Bye, Fabio

If people add FolderOrganizer Items and Labels as Shortcuts rather than Widgets they use up less battery. This I learned from experience.

Also, Fabio, a request:
I think it would be awesome if you could hide FolderOrganizer Labels behind a picture frame Widget. That way I could tap one of my daughter's photo to open my Games Folder, my son's photo to open my camera apps folder, or my wife's photo to open my "Utility Folder".
