Facebook Contact Issue

So I deleted somebody on Facebook and I am unable to remove them from my contacts. It pops up with the following message:

"To remove this contact from your phone, remove this person from your friends list on the following providers. Facebook."

As I mentioned before I have already deleted them from my Facebook, but still cannot delete the contact.

Anyone experience anything similar to this? Thank you in advance!

Oh yea haha I suppose that would be helpful. It's the Droid 2

Haha! No worries! Does it still show the contact in question linked to fb?

Try deleting and then reinstalling the facebook app. That should force a sync of the contacts.

Or you could just try going to settings, accounts and sync and removing facebook and then add it again. It should re-sync with the changes.

That works. My head is elswhere I have been going through adding and removing fb accounts alot in the last 2 days.

Yes it does, with the lock next to their email, phone number, url, etc.

Try deleting and then reinstalling the facebook app. That should force a sync of the contacts.

I uninstalled the Facebook ap, but I noticed that all of my Facebook contacts are still in my address book. Reinstalling it didn't force a sync, either.

Is there any reason why it's taking so long to sync this time? The first time it took like 2 minutes, but it's been about an hour and it's still not done.

I'm talking to a guy in another thread with the same issue. I don't know what's taking so long, i've unsyncd facebook a few times in the last few days with speedy results on resync. I guess you could try restarting the phone and see if that helps.
