Facebook importing contacts into Droid X

So I just got a new Droid X upgraded from HTC eris and I am setting up homescreen, widgets, ect. I added my facebook account to the social network widget provided by Motorola (bad idea). Now I have all my facebook contacts in my phone contact list. I know I can choose not to view the facebook caontacts but it also applied facebook profile pics to all my Google contacts. this is definitely not what I wanted to happen. Is there a way to:
1. remove the facebook contacts from the phone?
2. remove the facebook pics from my google contacts?
3. tell facebook not to sync contacts with the phone?

In the end all I want is to view facebook status updates and update my own status. No syncing contacts calanders, ect...

Cheers

I removed the Facebook account from my phone under Settings / Accounts.

I can still get to Facebook with a third party app from the Market, or going to the Facebook site in a browser.
