facebook/ friendstream

Ok so I have been reading in these forums about killing or removing the facebook/ friendstream apps. I would like to do this if it will save some battery life on my incredible. I have done most of the other stuff ( brightness, email push, changed to an wallpaper instead of 3d moving one, ect... ) With that same note, how about stopping some apps from running in the background. Any help in mucho appreciated. Thnx

yeah, i took off my friendstream after i had to hard reset my phone. my battery is like... SOOO much better. according to my battery widget, i had like an hour or more of use at 11pm last night. not the heaviest of usage days, maybe i would call it a normal day. that includes going running for a half hour w/ gps running.

i did have a problem w/ facebook oversyncing my contacts adn freezing my phone...however...
