system update fails due to the baseband and radio being updated.

There's no way that you can go back to 5.893,you said that you have flashed the 7.893 already,you have had the same kernel like 5.893 has.Unless,we had a talented Devs. that can unlock the bootloader>

Still haven't really received an answer and I know SOMEONE out there knows...

So in the event option one of 4ever doesn't work and I do have to do a FDR will it retain root/happen without any issues?

I registered just to answer your question. I am forever rooted and did a reset and held onto my root. Only problem is it gets rid of super user app but you can download the app from the market after.
I did the reset after the new ota so im sure it will be the same before.

Awesome, thank you so much silentsecret for registering, I knew somebody out there had to have tried it before. Now heres to hoping it gets me the OTA...thanks again.
