Doesn't matter if it never comes to us in any version, it's still a phone released 3 months ago that out performs a flagship phone that's still yet to be released.

Point A, we have no idea yet what the relative benchmarks will be. That won't happen until someone gets their hands on a production release Bionic. Point B, benchmarks are only valid comparing apples to apples. SGSII has a inferior resolution, therefore will return faster benchmarks than it would if it had a QHD. Benchmarks have limited value when comparing phones at two different tech levels.

I used the GS2 in London 2 weeks ago while I was visiting friends. I haven't used the bionic obviously but I can read benchmarks and hardware speeds easily enough to know in theory the GS2 is superior, minus 4g lye. I'm done explaining things to a child though, so I wont be responding to you any longer.

That's not true, look at the Bionic's radio, it fits in the chin of the bionic, it's been a complete rumor that the 4G LTE radio is large.

Motorola came out with their own LTE radio that is why it is smaller then the rest.

The resolution doesn't matter as the pentiles screen is laughable compared to the GS2 screen.

I think some of us are just a bit put off by your flippant "I hereby decree the SGSII the winner" line of reasoning. It seems like you're just trying to be combative. If you said "the iPhone 4 beats the Bionic because it has longer battery life and it's almost a year old", you'd get much the same reaction. You're choosing one aspect of the phone, assuming it's better than what the Bionic will offer, and then suggesting that this one thing is what matters.

If anything your argument just makes the Bionic look bad because although its resolution is hurting its performance, its actually producing a poor picture in comparison.

Ill be getting the Bionic, I'm just dissapointed to have waited this long to upgrade when there's a phone like the GS2 out there, just not in the Us. If you had used it and seen its performance and amazing screen, you'd be mad you couldn't get it as well.

Because obviously I'm not here to just talk badly about the Bionic, as I will be purchasing one?

I've been on this forum since the OG came out in 09'. This is a forum where we discuss the good and the bad.

Na I'm good but ur putting the phone down before it's even out. The screen isn't inferior, it's to save battery life and I've used the d3 and the screen is fine. Also I'm sure if u clock the bionic at 1.2 it will out perform the gs2.

The screen technology is inferior, you said it yourself they used pentile to save on battery life, which sacrifices screen quality. Look at the DX2 and tell me that's a nice screen, it has terrible colors.

You say I'm putting down the phone, but I'm just explaining the facts about the phone. You only think it's "putting it down" because I don't just blindly praise a device because I like a company.

Should we only mention the good things about a phone? Then what happens when someone comes here for information and thinks wow this phone is amazing and pays money for something based on biased advice and is disappointed(not talking about the Bionic specifically)

I can see why most people have stopped trying to explain anything to anyone, it's pointless. No one wants to hear what's true, they just want nonsense thrown at them.

But about the screen you are just giving ur opinion of it. It's still a qhd screen. It's all about what the user wants and needs. I love motorola phones because of their reception is amazing.

I dunno, but to me, it looks kind of HTC-ish. Semi-reminds me of a Thunderbolt....If only the bootloader was HTC-ish and unlocked.
