FCC Docs & Pics of Droid Bionic Revealed!!

I think the screen is slightly recessed the same all around as much as that lip is raised. I don't think it's enough to be annoying though. It actually protects the screen if it's ever laid down with the screen down.

Dangit, I finally got the link to work and now my OG Droid won't open the PDF files, it says download unsuccessful :(

So the battery door should allow for wireless charging with Powermat without a special case? Thats pretty cool.

Me guess that the FCC proving grounds where the first areas to get LTE service? = )

I agree with being saddened by moving the power button. This device is going to screw me all up for months.

Might get a silicon skin depending on if that bezel looks that shiny.. Charcoal is cool, but not shiny metallic.

I cant believe its been this long and we're still waiting on this phone. A friend of mine laughed at me and told me this is my "Eleanor" a unicorn that's always just out of my reach = )

I had the same problem, just went to the computer and looked at the pics. The weird thing is, I have quick office installed on my droid but still wouldn't download pics.

Pretty pissed about the 4.3" screen. It's a X2 with LTE................

Yup..Just need to get a charging mat..Thought the one FCC used in pics might be included (wishful thinking) but it turned out to be the lg wcp-700 which retails for $70..

While I agree it's a bit of a let down, the X2 didn't have induction charging, touch sensitive buttons, 1gig of ddr2 ram, LTE, front facing camera, larger battery ect...

Overall I think the Bionic should have been better, especially the screen tech, just considering time spent waiting for it. And if the GSII would come out before it I would buy it in a second, but I wouldn't say the Bionic is the X2 with LTE.

Damn, nice find. Was hoping it would be included, as I definitely wouldn't mind paying $299 for that package.

You know what I'm impressed that Moto decided to go through with the built in induction charging battery door. Despite their failures to improve a couple things in the last few phones they've made, most importantly the screen, this definitely proves to me that they're looking to the future with their devices.

Definitely makes me feel better about the phones they'll be developing in the future.

Hello all, newbie here (Nice forum).
It looks to me that the screen is curved upward (arched) higher than the edges. Anyone else seeing it that way?
Also the battery said targa on it. Was that the name of the first Bionic and would it have any relevance now?
Thanks for any info as I am trying to decide what my next phone will be (like many of you).

Yeah, that would've been a sweet deal dancedroid

This phone is hard to get a handle on through pictures because of the way light reflects off of it's edges. The screen is most certainly flat. It's assumed that the screen is recessed by a few millimeters with the edge protecting the screen when laid screen down.

As for the Targa name on the battery, the Bionic was originally the Etna(Motorola's Code Name), they had a couple problems with the Etna model, decided to scrap that version, took the Targa that was already developed and improved some of it's hardware/specs and then named it the Bionic.

Or a front facing camera. Larger battery. Webtop. Omap 4 >> tegra 2. Stereo sound (pretty sure from pics).

They really aren't even comparable except for the screen size.
