I did this with my other line. Just give your upgrade to the other line and make sure they activate it on the other phone, not yours. Then when you get home swap the SIM cards.

This is what they told me to do and i an giving it a try tomorrow...

Really? I just did it a few days ago. I did not tell them I was doing it- I did it myself when I got home (just switched the SIM cards). I also did it this past Friday, so maybe it just has not reflected to my account? I hope I'm right at least... (gonna be pissed if I get 2 phone lines with limited data).

I'm doing this tomorrow. Tech support advised me to do this and said it will 100% work without loading my unlimited data.

-getting forced to limited data- id be pissed- is the understatement of the century. Id be homicidal for real.

I was told the same thing from a Verizon rep about upgrading and still lost my unlimited. so now I'm on the family shared plan with 6gb and try n use wifi as much as I can

I got my s3 and kept my unlimited data! I found a loophole so now I can Use upgrades whenever I want
The thread wasn't intended to be about the loophole so sorry for leaving that part out. This doesn't help the single line people but I just had to give my mom my upgrade, use the alternate upgrade to get the s3 on her line then put her LG dare back on her line and they just stuck MY microSim into the s3.
Using this method, I can use upgrades whenever I want and still keep many unlimited.

The Verizon store I usually go to gave me a very hard time so I went to a different one and they did it in no time with absolutely no trouble
