Forgive my newbness for I am a new Moto Droid user. I have a few questions that I would like to get answered if possible.

1. Are their any good apps out there that change the way the home screen is layed out? (also do they work on 2.0.1?)

2. Where can I find more micro usb cables so I can leave one at work to charge my phone if needed.... ( i have heard of monoprice.com) ?? (also are they called micro usb cables?)

3. The App "Better keyboard" is it worth it? Does it really make it better?

4. My last question is more of an opinion Q. If you had to recommend one app which would it be. (i am looking for some cool gem's out there :D)

in closing I just want to say

Droid > Iphone/blackberry

And I love this god damn phone.

You can get microusb cables and/or chargers for cheap from many sources including Amazon. They don't have to be droid specific. Just make sure you get micro rather than mini.

I have to name two apps: flixster and AP Mobile

I highly recommend Motorola Cables to make sure that warranty stays void!!
I had a BlackBerry no name Cable and it damaged my usb port on my Bold!

Make sure you know what you do!

Are their any Xbox live apps?

And thanks for the replies.

EDIT:

Just installed flixster.... AWESOME app.

One app to recommend:

I'd go with handcent if you text a lot like I do. Much better than stock messaging app.

I got another question if someone can assist me.

Can you set gmail chat to vibrate when you get an incoming message? Just to clarify I am talking about

Gmail Chat,

not SMS/email/phone calls etc..

Thanks a bunch.

Welcome to Droidforums! check in often, there are some great people and tons of knowledge here. As far as changing your screen, I strongly recommend Home++. Its a free app and its highly customizable. Use the search button on droidforums for Home++ and youll see whole threads on its use. You wont be disappointed.

Apps: Pandora, internet radio
FxCamera, fun camera app
Dolphin browser, web surfing
Handcent, best texting app on the market.
Additionally, everything I have listed here are free apps!
