EB01 is froyo.so there would be no point to update if your rooted, you'll already have everything and kaos is worling on gingerbread and its already in alpha so this thread is preety irrelivent to the fascinate worlddd.

I'm not sure what that's about. Does the Captivate have froyo?

Edit: no, it doesn't - here's a more concise link. Apparently Samsung pulled the update info for the Captivate from the AT&T site. This doesn't bode well:
