First Extended battery for Droid Razr

Great shots, I'm still enjoying look at them. But I just noticed the battery ones say 1750 mAh and Moto's site says it's a 1780 mAh battery. It looks like there's a sticker over it too, as though it's been changed. Any idea on why or what that means?

Yeah, I see that now that you mentioned it. It's not all that uncommon for either the manufacturer or Verizon to make such a mistake. I have to believe the label on the battery is correct.

Also the area you mentioned looks like a label over the power rating is actually the 1" square area of the battery where they have a cutout of the double-sided tape to allow for the thicker area in middle of the Kevlar since that's where the Motorola badge on the back is attached and the inside has a plastic backing to support the badge. You can see the square plastic backing in photos of the inside of the Kevlar.

If they didn't cut out the adhesive there, the back of the Kevlar wouldn't be smooth and flat as it is.

That seems like faulty advertising to me. And, if it's just a mistake, why not correct it on their website?

It just seems wrong.

Has anyone actually verified a place that stocks an extended battery? Ill be the guinea pig and take mine apart lol. Kinda bummed on the maxx thing... wouldnt mind more battery for sure. I still haven't gotten a reply from the place that supposedly sells the 3500 battery. Wish I could find one....

Just bought a t mobile branded portable external battery, supposed to be 1700mAh, I'll go with that and not risk the structural integrity of my phone, especially when its not meant to come apart

Agreed. I ordered the PowerGen UltraSlim. That way I have it handy if I need it, but I still have the slimmer RAZR when I don't - which is most of the time. Plus I haven't voided my warranty.

So how does that work? Is it something you would plug into your phone and have to deal with holding the phone and the power gen?

Take a look at it for yourself :) : PowerGen Mobile Juice Pack

It's just an external charger, so yes, you have to deal with handling it plus the phone while the two are connected. External battery packs like these are great if you can set the phone or the battery pack down somewhere to charge. But they're not so great if you're on the go and have to try to juggle the two while they're connected.
