Wow, the bat suit looks huge. There is no way he was able to bulk up enough to even look like he fits half that suit. Its going to look so weird when hes out of the bat suit.
I think there is a chance Affleck could pull off the Batman role. I don't think anyone will ever do as good of a job playing the joker as Heath Ledger did though.

Absolutely not, Heath was only one of a few people that can pull off that level of crazy in a believable way, and his performance in that role is impossible to match. Jack Nicholson and Nicholas Cage come to mind as the only potential comparison. Only difference is Nicholas Cage wouldn't have to act, and probably shouldn't because he can't anyway.
It's the role of Batman for cripes sake. Everyone is acting like you need some acting chops to play a superhero. It can't be screwed up unless your name is George Clooney.

The issue here is not that it's just some Superhero, but an American icon that has evolved over the years, culminating with Chris Nolan's vision. Anything that is less than, will be treated as such by the community of folks who don't want comic dribble on the screen, but actual drama, suspense and action, with real dialog being done by a real actor.
If you can't come close to Chris Nolan's vision, then don't try. Spend your time making an animation worthy or theater distribution and call it a day.

It is not "just batman", it is " the freaking batman" man.
We take our batman serious around here. And that George Clooney thing never happened.
I do think that Ben affleck is the biggest batman we have ever had on screen. Batman is big guy and I think Ben affleck can bring us a good batman but it also depends on the script. I mean it is not like they chose some two bit hack we never heard of we are talking about an academy award winning actor who already cut his teeth on a super hero role before. Granted DD was not a good movie but there was more wring with it than just Ben.
What gives me some hope is chris Evans was Johnny storm in FF and you can argue FF was a so so hero movie but as Captain America you can argue he embodies the comic hero well. I think Ben can do the same with Batman. Plus as much as we all love the dark Knight trilogy it was not with out its faults (ie the voice and dkr clearly being the weakest of them all). I think they can go up from here. My concern is the writing. I am not saying I want a rookie batman but we don't need an old man batman either. I hope they capture him in the prime of his career and not at the downslope. Oh and absolutely no Robin.
