First time using Rom Manager, recovery didn't start...

I hit the top button... Flash Clockworkmod recovery... or what ever it said..
I then backed up my Current ROM.
I then downloaded Cyanogen v6.0.0 cr2
It downloaded and rebooted my phone.

BUT....

It went to a screen with a Triange w/ exclamation and a phone under it.
I then hit the upvol button and camera, and now I'm at the Android system recovery page and I don't know what to do next.

these are my options

reboot system now
apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/factory rest
wipe cache partition
wipe baseband data

btw, I did click to backup current ROM and wipe data and cache.

please help!!!

Last I knew Clockwork was needed to install Cyanogen, but that may have changed. a quick Google search shows some threads but I didn't dig deep to see if a sprecovery version of the rom exists. That may negate the "any rom you like" part.

It sounds like Rom Manager did not flash clockwork for you. You can try to flash clockwork recovery again again. Your recovery screen should say Clockwork at the top of it

I've had this happen as well. Here's what solves it for me:
- Open RM and scroll all the way to the bottom and select "All ClockworkMod Recoveries"
- Select 2.0.1.3 and hit OK
- Do that three times
After that you should be good to go. Just select "Install ROM from SD card" and find the CM download and select it.

Hope that does it for you.
