Well, people buy $200 wallets so again to each his own. Spend your money as you like, the only one you need to justify your purchases to are yourself and anyone dependent on your income. If this phone had everything I were looking for I'd scoop it up. Wouldn't be any crazier than the $700 I had planned to spend on the Note 3 Dev edition just so I could get AOSP Roms.

Bamboo is very dense so I don't think sealing is all that important, IMHO.

It's softer then other hardwoods(we had flooring in our previous house done out of it, never again), so unless you want to have scratches it needs a coat or 5 of polyurethane.
