Flashing grey triangle outline on status bar

Turned on my phone today and there was a flashing grey triangle outline on my status bar. what does it mean and how do I remove it

Another thing is it disabled my data as well, I could receive texts and calls and could place them but internet was gone. I restarted the phone and it went back to normal, really confusing ha

A flashing triangle outline means you are in normal roaming mode (not being charged a roaming fee) - known as in-network roaming

A steady triangle outline means you are in extended roaming mode and being charged a roaming fee. - known as out-of-network roaming

For whatever reason, this particular icon is not documented in the Bionic's manual.

Probably because by default, the Bionic disables your data connection when roaming. Roaming data charges can get absolutely ridiculous.
