for the love of god help!!

i found a version 1.1.2 that simply locked up when using navigation. i figure the changes in maps may have changed the way pandora works...so rolling back versions probably won't get ya back to where ya wanna be either...maybe the email will convince them to roll out an update by the weekend.

I doubt it unless Pandora is being hammered with emails stating the same problem which I don't think is happening. I'll be using slacker from now on

Pandora just updated and asked for more permissions that set my teeth on edge anyway, so you're probably better off. They probably don't want to try to update it yet again so soon unless they are getting hammered.

Thanks for doing all that work to find an older version of Pandora, though, listenman20! :)

Try disabling stagefright. There is an update.zip I recently posted in rom manager. Go through the options selecting no thank you until the very end.

JRummy! That simple fix solved my streaming video issue I been battling for months! Thank you!!

Hit to quadrant scores

Try disabling stagefright. There is an update.zip I recently posted in rom manager. Go through the options selecting no thank you until the very end.

I looked everywhere in rom manager and could not find it. Perhaps its not listed yet? What developer/rom should it be listed under? Thanks!

Update....I found it. Does stock kernel mean "my" stock kernel or the stock droid kernel?

It is in there.. or you can open terminal and enter this:

su
sysrw
sed -i -e 's/^media\.stagefright.enable-player.*$/media.stagefright.enable-player=false/' /system/build.prop

You will need to reboot your phone for changes.

I did the rom manager install with the stagefright delete- noticed a large hit to the quadrant score from 1300's to 700's on both mine and my wifes droid.
Didn't really notice any speed loss just quadrant drops. Quadrant HANGS on the audio and video testing portions, actual video frame rates are the same. Haven' tried video online tests, but will and will follow up.

i did notice with the stagefright on alot of online videos just didn't play, it would say some odd message about not being able to play.

Is there a better patch? I tried the XDA one but have to try their second one, (I had my head stuck somewhere dark and foul and installed a phone specific one and killed my droid-i.e. black screen had to restore)

Jrummy16 on a personal note- with the quality of the roms my wife and I have used from you take whatever break you want!!!! Pink life for her and collision for me (had the luna at one time :-)

speed, usability, and I use radio time and pandora all the time, using an FM adapter so the sound loss of stagefright sorta mute----

Funny thing is this fix never worked when I used bugless 0.4
I always checked the build.prop after rebooting and made sure the settings kept and they did but videos still would not stream.

I was reluctant to try it on lithium. When I could not find a script for God mode, I used the rom manager method and lo and behold yahoo videos stream like new! You can keep the low quadrant scores, I know what my Droid is capable of. Those numbers mean nothing to me other than bragging.
Big whoop....those numbers probably aren't accurate anyhow, some days I was top dog and others I was right in the middle. C'mon...they show the Droid as a "step up" from the G1, and this phone clearly runs circles around them. Don't get me wrong, the G1 is practically the grandfather of android phones as it truly was one of, if not the first android dev phones and still kicks a** and runs 2.2!! THAT says alot about the Droid! Should be around awhile!!
