For those wanting this gem, whos og is limping?

I cracked.

After running Simply Stunning for a while, I decided the OG just didn't have the hardware to keep up with what I need it to do. It's slow. I needed something with more RAM, as we all do.
So, I bought a used Droid Incredible for $100. Looks brand new. Rooted it, and installed Condemned CM7.1 V8 on it. Gotta say, this thing is way faster than my OG. I'm not up for an upgrade until April, so this is my temporary replacement. No way in heck am I buying the Galaxy Nexus for full retail price.

Not a bad move, if I didn't already have an upgrade I would probably do something similar.

I had an upgrade, but we switched the primary account holder to my mom and we lost my upgrade. My mom used mine, and my dad used his, so technically, we lost my mom's upgrade. It sucks--VZ says they can't do anything about it. So I'm just like :frown:.

I'm worried about waiting that long though. April is six months away. By that time, if I were to wait for five more months, Google would announce a new Nexus. I already know by April the Nexus will be relatively outdated, (hopefully not).

Nice, the Incredible is a great phone. I upgraded my wife to a used ebay (like new) Dinc and loaded her up with CM7. I've been jealous of her device's performance ever since. I could never justify switching with her and sticking her with my p.o.s. OG Droid.

True, but I'm skeptical of quad-core. Not gonna lie, a quad-core phone would have a better processor than my laptop. I think it's overkill. Plus, I really want that Nexus. Maybe I can find a new/used one cheap on Craigslist in a few months. Hopes are high.

It's battery cannot even hold a charge for a full day, and thats without being able to do any apps, and no internet browsing. Only a few calls a day and a few texts. God forbid if I listen to 15 minutes of music or take a couple pictures, then we're lookin at 1/2 a day charge tops. I can't wait to get ANY new droid lol.

Yeah, I was lookin at those, and thought about getting one, but I just kinda said screw it because I plan on getting a smart phone sometime between now and xmas. I'm just unsure which one yet. It was hands down the Galaxy Nexus but as more has come to light about it, I am unsure if thats for sure the one I want. I am still debating between the Galaxy Nexus, Bionic, Rezound, or waiting until next spring for some Tegra 3 phones, but I know how phone delays go, and I don't want to wait 1/2 the year next year. Each has its ups and downs to me, and I will probably just end up getting the first one that runs a big sale. Why cant they just make a wicked phone with all the features I want, without the negatives that I don't want, lol. Honestly though, despite being a tiny bit older than the current models, the Bionic seems to have the most positive things I am looking for in a phone but the camera lag holds me back.

Verizon doesn't give a rats ass what phone we buy or use or really if a few ppl switch to att they think its a luxury to have verizon. that's just a few million(pennies to them)
Dollars they don't care about, Hence y there is how many phone companies?! And my Droid does the vibrate while I'm trying to talk thing lol but I'm sick of my friends with phones better than my Droid but there phone really isn't that good haha they just don't know what we know "nexus"
