found a better way to keep 4g part two

hey, what version are you using? i know that some Gummy May 27-31 nightly, i was having problems
with the Bionic not booting up properly.. version 1.2 is the one i am using right now. haven't switch
over to 1.2.3 yet..

One thing I noticed though, even though I'm on .905 on the unsafe side, eclipse on my safe side still says I'm on .902. So which system am I actually on?

eclipse is Gingerbread rom so it should show you the same spec as your stock rom. i think. just a guess.
stock 902.. if you flash to 905.. it should show up as 905.. switch to reg stock if you had not done so already
to check if you are on 905 instead of 902.. you might have reflash stock 902 with 902?
i have a lot of 902 files and i almost reflash with it. so check stock and that will tell you.

Eclipse is built on. 902 so it will show that as your system version while running eclipse.

so does that mean you are running 905 in Eclipse. even thou, it is showing 902... you are in fact running 905?

Yep. You are running .905. Only way for it to say. 905 on eclipse would be for the developer to put out an updated version built upon .905.

if you are on Eclipse and your stock Bionic is on 905.. does Eclipse interfere with 905 since it's base on 902?
i would think there would be some type of conflict with Eclipse because it would just ignores 905
since it's written for 902 and therefor not compatible?

There is no interference whatsoever.I am running kin3tx now and it is based off of 5.8.894, and I am on .902

thanks for your reply.. you learn something new everyday. question, are you on 905 or 5.8.894
since you are running Kin3tx or are you saying, it doesn't matter what stock version of your phone you
are running.. you can run all the roms?

I am on .902. Not every rom will work. Roms built to run on .901 should work on any build after .901. The kin3tx I am running reads 5.8.894 but it was updated to run on .901 and above.
Eclipse, liberty, kin3tx, and any ics rom made for bionic have working versions for .902

This guide is very helpful

thanks.. link was the one i read awhile back and i guess i was thinking about my computer days too much.
something don't work.. might be a software conflict.
thanks

No prob. I think I am right about how this all works. If not, I am sure someone who knows better will chime in.

Gummy 1.2.3. Does not have consistent 4g either. Guess I'll either wait for the official version or until someone figures out the data problem. Thanks for everyone's info who gave it.
