FoxFi app

Been using FoxFi for quite some time and prefer it over PDANet. Never have a problem. In fact I use it for torrents over 4G and its a beast averaging over 850mb. Sorry about your luck but no problems here.

Well, I don't have a Bionic, I have a D4...and have the same problem.

It worked for a few days, but lately, my phone has been rebooting. Sometimes it doesn't even get past the "DROID" splash screen (where it has that on the screen). I uninstall FoxFi and no rebooting.

I had some overheating issues a few days ago, I'm not sure how that gets into the works. All I know is that I uninstalled FoxFi late this morning, and the phone hasn't been rebooting the rest of this afternoon. It was rebooting earlier when the phone temperature was in the low 80s and after I had placed the phone in front of the air conditioning vent upstairs for about 30 seconds.

My bionic does get warn/hot after extended use of FoxFi. I had run into the rebooting issue when I set it up my friends G'Zone Commando. Ive been lucky so far I suppose.

Had the same rebooting problem without FoxFi, but with PDAnet, yesterday. Uninstalled it, cooled it down, and it's been up for over 6 hours.

Not sure what combination of these "extra access" programs and overheating there is, or what's causing what...

FYI,, If your running the program (CPU), and charging at the same time its gonna warm up. And if your screen is on too, its gonna get hot! Just remember, you have a pocket computer that "doesn't " have a built it cooling fan! Mine gets hot too!

What app was it? I have updated my apps over the last few days, now foxfi says a motorola app is erroring the foxfi app from starting the hotspot.

Have you tried a reboot?

I received the new update notification on my BIONIC. Does anyone know if it will cut off my FoxFi?

No but will instruct you to do a reboot after installing it to get it to work.
