FoxFi Tethering Issue on ICS Rezound

FoxFi still wont work with HTC phones other than the new One series until foxfi fixes it. Updating to ICS wont solve the problem. Only way to use wifi tether on Rezound is to pay Verizon(noooo) or root your phone, which is totally worth it in my opinion, but know what you are doing.
This issue is the only thing that makes me jealous of my brothers Razr, but PDAnet through USB works fine without root. You just need to carry a cable.

I can use BT on my Rezound, so I will have to deal with that. However, I will use my N7 only at home or work so I'll use wifi there. The Foxfi I will only use on vacation, and not planning to use it for streaming videos.

If I could just get my Acer tablet to USB tether!

Have you tried the Bluetooth connection. I don't have a tablet yet, so i cant check, but i understand that Bluetooth seems to be a solution, albeit a little slow. There is always rooting?

Bluetooth tethering via fixfi works. I'm doing it now with my acer Iconia.

Can you load apps from the market on the tablet while BT tethered? Does gmail on the tablet work? Both of these would not work for me.

Gmail sync was hit and miss. I am just going to pay the 30 bucks until someone figures it out.

I am a new user to the Rezound. After the ICS update I was able to get tethering to work with my laptop with Easytether Pro ($10). Admittedly it requires a USB cable to connect the phone to the computer, but it works flawlessly. Also, I was able to tether the phone to our Samsung Galaxy Tabs wirelessly using FoxFi and PDAnet. Just some food for thought for those of you paying Verizon to tether your phone to your devices.

So, I get a notification that there is an update for FoxFi. So I'm like, cool...maybe something in the update will address the issue I am having, in that it doesn't work for me.

Nope. I couldn't even download it. It said it wasn't compatible with my OS. I am running ICS. WTF?

WiFi tether for root just updated and now has the ability to set up for rezound. It works but not that fast.

Verizon got foxfi blocked in the Google play store.

To download it, go to their webpage

FoxFi Installer
Hmmm... Really, got a link to some info on that? Googled it and couldn't find any reputable info on it. I am pretty sure I read somewhere that FoxFi pulled the compatibility flag on the Rezound temporarily until they figure out why it doesn't work on the new ICS firmware because they think it should work properly. I would think that for VZW to block it now after allowing it for a long time and considering the recent legal decision regarding them charging for tethering, they would not even attempt to block it.

That's actually a newer version than the one I have before it was pulled from market.
