I've tried updating 5 times and it still want gain access to 3.1.1 but Voodoo OTA rootkeeper says everything is ok...in Voodoo i don't have option to Backup Root. How do i do that?

Does Superuser have to be in su binary 3.1.1 to get root access in JB??

I rooted thru Matts 1.81 do you think that might be tha problem? Should i try rooting thru 1.82 and in Superuser should ota survival be checked?
I guess nobody even missed me ...

Just give up on trying to preserve root, the new Jelly Bean Leak has been exploited and Root is now able to be obtained after the upgrade. See the updated "Extra Credit" class at the end of the OP. :icon_ banana:
Thanks, Tis. It is great news. She's still a little embarrassed by her hair since it's about 1 1/2" long in curls, so she still wears a scarf. Frankly, I like it and tell her to take the scarf off. She says it's still not long enough to keep her head warm so the scarf helps.
She is so lucky to have you for support. And you are lucky to have such a strong woman by your side! It is truly great news. A friend of mine's 18 year old daughter just finished her treatments. Long long beautiful dark wavy hair. She shaved it off before she lost it all... And loved being bald. Was just as beautiful bald as she was with her long beautiful dark hair. It is now finally starting to grow back in. But she is hating that most. She feels like “either give me hair or give me none but this in-between is for the birds." Your wife and my friend's daughter are truly inspirational!

I used to have the same problem. I went into the SU settings and deleted SU from the list of apps that have been granted SU permission and change it to always prompt when an app requests SU permissions. I closed SU, went back into the app and updated my binaries and it worked.

Since there is JB root now maybe the sections on preserving root should be taken out of the first page instructions to easy on confusion.

I must apologize to everyone but I've been tied up with family issues these last 2 days so it's taken me away for the most part from the forums. I don't like being an "Absentee Professor" (or absentee Moderator), but I think everyone would agree being an "absentee husband and father" would be frowned upon even more!

Hi guys, I'm trying to install JB but I can't find the"Blur_Version.6.16.211.XT912.Verizon.en.US file in any of the 3 links. I've downloaded them and put them on my desktop and at the root of my C drive but to no avail. Anyone else have that problem or have suggestions? Hopefully it's something easy i'm missing... Thanks
