Is it just me or the quality of FFC just isn't on par with iPhone 4/4S? I am in a room full of iPhone users and we all setup a Google+ Hangout. Only my FFC had bad/low quality. I tried both on 4G connection and WiFi. I also tried a Google Talk video chat with my Dad on his GNex and the quality sucks as well. I thought it was supposed to be 720P?

mine is actually pretty good. At least on my end. Not sure about the other end. ha. Its possible that its data transmission causing the pixelation..and not the hardware.
check your quality with just using video and FFC.

Looks like the GNex FFC is quite good. Seems like the OPs issues are probably more software/OS related? I must say that 720p resolution is probably overkill for most webcam applications. I guess us guys will need to start trimming all that nostril hair before using the webcam on the newer phones :biggrin:

its a streaming issue...not a camera issue. record your video on FFC in 720 and watch playback...this is different than streaming over a data connection.

Lol...that was removed. It was pretty funny. Didn't look closely...but...you CANT see my nosehairs. lol. Thats a beard. Now some of you know what I look like...lol...Ill pull the pic sometime though. Not going to leave it up forever. And no...Im not really cockeyed..just making that face.
