Froyo Kangerade 5.0.9 Pre...

I've hadit since four today. So far very smooth and stable. All contacts and programs synced. Left the stock kernel of 800 and pulling around 1100 on quadrant. Had to install flash and that's working smoothly.GPS is working well for navigation, weather and web.Bluetooth voicedialing is working well too. Running launcher pro (smooth and you can hide the title bar for a nicer look on dark EP) without a problem. Only major things I haven't triedyet are apps to SD and a different keyboard.

Which flash did you install?

I've been updating this throughout the day so some of you might be on different updates and not even realizing it.. please post results here and I will try and get a full release out soon.

There hasn't been too many big changes.. some bug fixes and minor things... the changelog is in system/etc

you can do this in terminal to view it:

su
cat system/etc/changelog.txt

I like it so far. Very snappy on the stock kernel.

Rummy has been updating this ROM so you will need to keep checking back and re flash to fix the script error....I had the same thing earlier until i re-flashed to a more recent update and its all working fine...he said he will have a solid ROM for us soon

Wi-Fi Connection

I've been updating this throughout the day so some of you might be on different updates and not even realizing it.. please post results here and I will try and get a full release out soon.

After wiping and installing v5.0.9, all my apps automatically re-installed fine. I enabled Wi-Fi, and waited five minutes - it did not connect to the network. I went into settings and as soon as I pressed on Wi-Fi settings, it immediately established a connection to my network. So, it's pulling the configuration from backup okay, but not making the connection when I enable Wi-Fi UNTIL I manually go into the Wi-Fi settings screen.

This seems to be typical behaviour of all ROMs I've tried. Is it possible to "fix" it so that it scans AND FINDS an in-range wi-fi network without requiring that I visit the settings page first?

Man, I've tried just about every FroYo based ROM out there. I must say, IMO JRummy's is the best. Always bringing us some update goodies, THANK YOU! Flashed this, does seem a little snappier, not sure if I want to lose my blueberry yet though. :) Think I'll flash back for now, but keep up the good work man!!!
