Galaxy Note 2 waiting Lounge

That sounds great. Didn't you used to have a droid 2? If so, how does the sound quality and volume compare with the note 2.

I did have a droid 2, a rezound, and a tbolt. The sound is loud whether it be via hardware speaker or hooking it to the audio in your car it is loud. On my nexus I had to use volume boost apps and it still had that cracking sound. The note 2 is great whether it be via speaker phone, music, or movies. There is one annoyance in the software where when you put it full volume when hooked to n audio cord you get a warning about the damage from having the volume so loud when you disconnect and reconnect you have to turn the volume back up. In other words the software drops the volume automatically. Of course that is for safety and I understand it so I have no issue with it but warning people in case some one think they have a broke phone. Another positive is bluetooth headphone work and sound better on it then it did my nexus and it pairs much easier.

The note 2 is a complete phone which is something android fans have asked for oems to give us since the og droid. The Razr Maxx hd has a great battery and cleaner blur but lacks innovative specs and a decent camera. The droid Dna has a nice screen and camera but lacks a strong battery. The note 2 brings an awesome camera, great battery life, hd quality screen, nice sound quality, call quality is good, and the reception is a 180 from the Galaxy Nexus. Android fans buying the note 2 will be getting a great device that is versatile and worth the 299 price, and this is the first time I can honestly say I felt like I got my money's worth buying a device since the og Droid.

You aren't the first person who has told this is the best all around phone since the og droid, I am definitely sold on the note 2 :D. Im thinking about skipping class just to go get it first on release day.

VERY nice to hear for a change!! Now I don't feel so bad about spending almost $500 on contract! (Fees, tax, accessories, etc!)

Thanks PC!

Oops yeah I meant adding all the extra crap on top of that $299.

ohh gotcha plus the case and screen protector, which I highly recommend you get via amazon or ebay. Much cheaper than the marked up ones you buy from the carriers.

I just figured out something a moment ago and wanted to share in case anyone else is in the same boat:

So I thought I would have the phone by now. Unfortunately, verizon sucks:angry:.
I'm going out of town for 3 wks starting next Monday which means I'm going to miss my preorder shipment .
Thought about canceling the preorder and risking running out of grey phones .
Then I found out that verizon ships with FedEx .
I found out once the tracking number gets emailed I out you can change the delivery address .
You can actually change the delivery address to a fedex store (like the one down the street from the hospital I'll be at) and pick up your phone at the fedex store for no charge .
This means I don't have to wait additional days! I can continue counting down with all you fine gents

I know this has been asked before, but I don't know if its been asked in this certain way........
I have 3 lines on my account. Two unlimited and one dummy line that I used to upgrade to my tbolt. One of my unlimited lines has an upgrade that I've been holding for a while (online it still says its a new every 2 upgrade lol)
My question is, can I transfer my upgrade to my dummy line to get the Note 2 and then transfer the phone to my unlimited line without losing my unlimited.
Like I said, I know its been asked several ways, but I'm not sure if like this. Any step by step instructions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I was going to do this same thing but was getting conflicting reports from Verizon reps so I opted to pay full price. I wasn't so worried about the shared data but the data discounts I have on each line. I get $20 off each line for data so switching to the shared plans wouldn't save me money. Even though, between all 5 of my lines, we don't even hit 2gb of data total per month. Talk to a rep first to see if you get a straight answer and have them document your account if they say you can do it and not lose your unlimited if you switch lines after upgrading. Good Luck!!

I tried something similar with my wife's line. Verizon wouldn't go for it without a data plan.

I have two unlimited that are ready for upgrade and I've tried everything to transfer those upgrades and keep my unlimited. It looks as if it cannot be done.

Stupid Verizon forcing us off of unlimited. What a bunch of jerks, maybe we need to egg the CEO 's house.

I used to love screen protectors, when I got my RAZR maxx I decided to try without since it had gorilla glass and all. Not a single scratch and its regularly sitting in my pocket with my keys.

Gonna finally chime into the discussion. Also waiting for the Note 2 to finally get released on Verizon. Thought about switching to T-Mobile but decided to wait it out and stick with Verizon.

Saw somebody post in this thread about the Trident Kraken case so I picked one up from Amazon.

Very nice case. I took it to work with me today and went through the motions of holding the case as if I were using the phone. I was glad to discover that it fits very nicely in my hand. If it were just a little bit bigger it would have been too big, it totally maxes out my hand but I feel very confident that I will have no trouble using the phone one handed. Also the case comes with a kickstand and I discovered that if I pop it out I can grip it between my fingers and am allowed very positive control. Not the most comfortable way to grip the case but it works well.

Gonna be nice when I can finally get the phone to go with the case. Will be getting the wife an SIII at the same time so it will be kinda like his and her phones. It will probably take a couple months to get her up to speed on how to use it but it will be fun showing her everything the phones can do.
