So did anyone pay full retail? My Bionic has a cracked screen, and I am not due for an upgrade till May. I am toying with the option of paying retail now, and then in May, getting my upgrade and then selling whatever I feel at that time will get me the most $.

I did.

I wasn't eligible for an upgrade and didn't want to loose my plan. Im on an extremely old $20 price plan that I wont be able to keep if I upgrade.

I paid full retail price didn't want to lose unlimited data on both devices on my plan.
Though waiting till May your best bet would be to wait for the next best thing. Android phones have a short life span before the next gen comes out

I would say, if you have insurance, to file a claim. You'll probably get a better phone than you currently have. My girlfriend's droid 2 was replaced with a brand new droid 4 just a few months ago. You could still buy at retail but maybe you'll have an even better phone to sell later on.

So possibly some good news that I had just learned that maybe some of u havent. Over on XDA someone got to play with a Note 2 in VZW so yes they are in stock and ready for the 29th he noted multi window and no WiFi notification but best of all is the Verizon on the home button is painted on top and could probably be removed with the penny trick can't wait for the 29th...

That does sound like good news cause the Wi-Fi thing sounded like it could be a pain in the a##. Granted would have got used to that but glad it might not be there. Painted top to button also nice potent trick might work too.Not much longer before we know for sure

Yes that is true I bough my wife a Samsung charge(worst phone ever) in June and got it upgraded to a galaxy s3 by October with insurance.

Now I'm just hoping nothing good wrong when I try to pick one up on the 29th in the store. As long as I can get it then I'm a head of the pre order cause wouldn't get it till afternoon on Thursday of shipped.

I already asked my store on Saturday and they told me they would have it for sale on Thursday. I'm suppose to call to check in later but they had already set me up for 10am tomorrow.

That does sound like good news cause the Wi-Fi thing sounded like it could be a pain in the a##. Granted would have got used to that but glad it might not be there. Painted top to button also nice potent trick might work too.Not much longer before we know for sure

Really their both nice phones but the Note 2 is in a league of its own.

They are both good phones and you would have to have them side by side to notice the differences. Since most of us do not compare multiple high priced phones customers will get a good device with either. Where the note 2 stands out for me is the focus on it being a tablet like device which offers the user more for the buck. Whether it be with the s pen acting as a mouse, the ability to turn it into a computer/gaming station with peripherals, the bigger battery that ensures the user will atleast get a work day out of it regardless of how hard the device is used, or the available accessories because multiple carriers offer the same device. I chose the note 2 and I have not been this happy with a smart phone purchase since my og droid. I call it the complete android device of 2012. Good Job Samsung you have really come a long way from the (og) Galaxy S.
