When they don't sell like hotcakes and the drop the price to $500ish I'll reconsider

I'd take it for $5 to use as a security cam
I tried your last statement on my wife regarding jewelry, she didn't agreeThe Note versions are always more expensive than the standard Galaxy S model. If you can wait 2-3 months after release, it'll drop 50-100 bucks like it always does.
This has always been one if those instances where being "first" to have a device in hand, isn't always better.
Good things come to those who wait...
just sayin.

I'm not a fan of the "edge" style of Samsung, and the beginning price is absurd, and going to 4GB, a 820 processor, and not the latest Android, I'll say not a chance if those specs prove correct.
It will have a case either way, but I found it very difficult to hold naked (the phone ), it wanted to be on the floor / ground very bad...I just got an S7 Edge today. My LG G4 took a dump and I've been unhappy with it for a while now. The edge part I'm getting used to but I didn't want the 5.1" screen of the normal S7. HOLY hell this phone is soooooo much faster than the LG G4.
I just got an S7 Edge yesterday. My LG G4 died and not being happy with it I decided to pay it off and upgrade. I'm not a fan of the edge stuff but after only one day, I'm mostly used to it on my new phone. The S7 is too small and the upcoming Note 7 is too pricey and too far out for me. Without data on my phone, its less than useful as really, who makes calls only these days?
Give the edge style a try if you can, its not as bad as I used to think it was. I doubt in a week I'll even notice it.

Are there still carriers that subsidize phones? Most of them use some form of a monthly plan now so they can get the full retail price for the phones. Next, More, etc.Unless you buy them subsidized on contract for $350.
Exactly my thoughts, at this stage I'd go with S7 Edge, Moto Z Force Droid, or even a 2015 Moto X Pure. For that price point that Samsung is aiming for, I can get a Lenovo IdeaPad with an i7 and 16GB RAM...Too many high end phones with equal specs coming out this year and next-at half the price or a bit more. No thanks, Samsung.
