Technically, I don't think it was "officially" announced. The documents just showed up on the VZW support site and all of the usual suspects started writing articles about how it was rolling out, but yeah. It was right about lunch time Friday when the majority of Note 4 owners on this forum began pulling it.

I woke up this morning and mine showed an update was ready to install. Got excited, as it is the first update since I got the Edge and thought it would be Lollipop. No such luck....just a quickie. So, hoping it is a preparation updated.
