Getting the feeling that the thunderbolt is going to be abandoned....

Got a bad feeling HTC and Verizon are going to try sweep this phone under the rug and start fresh with a new "flagship" phone.

For such terrible problems that was caused by their update....they have been extremely slow to fix things much less even admit there is a problem.

I believe Verizon has been open about admitting there's a reboot problem that was caused by the MR1 update. I'm sure they're just as eager as we are about getting the latest update from HTC since they're trying to make a profit.

You mean the phone that still is "missing" all that internal memory we heard about and still hasn't got a MyVerizon app to use in the Android Market?

I think that the executives mostly care about being able to finally exploit their iPhone deal with Apple and believe that it will kill AT&T off.

A fact is that HTC abandons its phones the minute they are released. I upgrade my phone quite often so it doesnt bother me that much, but if one depends on contract renewal for new phone - HTC is not the best choise...

To my knowledge, the Thunderbolt is the only 4G/LTE phone to receive a update since it's release date and I'm sure that VZW is taking a hard look at what caused this phone to have the reboot issues, so that they don't have a repeat of this with other 4G/LTE phones.

On that note look at the DX, since it's gotten its Gingerbread update, people including my wife has been experiencing reboots on a daily basis. For my wife it hasn't been more than 1 per day, not to mention the battery life has gotten worse.

I'm not trying to rag on any manufacturer, but rather prove a point in that HTC, Verizon and Moto all make mistakes. It's just with the Thunderbolt being the first 4G/LTE phone, it had high expectations.
